The role of the business development manager is to identify, study, develop and follow-up government construction projects of interest to the Company. Preference is for candidates that are experienced in the registration, prequalification and tendering process.
Main responsibilities of this position are:
Identifying project leads, understanding customer requirements and developing business opportunities into orders & contracts.
Developing new clients and maintaining relations with existing clients and accounts.
Identify and liaison with International Engineering Companies interested to participate in future tenders.
Plan, organize and schedule activities to meet objectives. Ensures that these are well-documented and properly communicated to management.
Continuously keep track of upcoming project opportunities announced by the Authorities.
Report to and update the Company’s COO on weekly activities and the progress opportunities.
During the proposal development phase, work closely with the proposal team to collect necessary information on local rates (manpower, equipment, logistics …etc.) in a timely manner to ensure meeting deadlines. Schedule meetings with local subcontractors and conference calls with International companies as needed.
Serves as a key resource for collecting necessary information and addressing issues or questions referred by management.
Coordinates multiple work streams.
Support the proposal team by scheduling meetings with clients and organizing site visits.
