-Performs complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.
-Recommends and prepares technical papers.
-Be able to develop and check structural schemes including comparisons of alternatives and prepare concept design reports
-Be able to prepare and deliver presentations to Clients
-Be able to present and defend designs (prepared by him or by others) in front of Clients and obtain approvals.
-Provides technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.
-Be able to independently & objectively verify works produced by another design team.
\[Design / Project Management
-Mentor, coach and develop staff and assist them to achieve their full potential.
-Be able to lead smaller design teams on technical assignments.
-Plan, manage, and supervise the work of project requiring expenditure of manpower and financial investment.
-Completes other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
-May function as discipline Project Engineer on medium to large projects, assuming responsibility for the work of the group.
-Manage production of designs by others and provides technical guidance to CAD Designers, Drafters, and lower level Engineers working on the same project.
-Maintain good communication and cooperation with all project team members.
-Understand and demonstrate value of diversity. Resolve conflicts with minimum noise.
-Understand and respect the hierarchy in decision making; follow decisions and instructions given by Line Manager.
-Reviews supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses.
-Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
-Be able to project manage multi discipline projects ensuring all designs produced by different disciplines are well coordinated.
-Understand the importance of timeliness to internal and external clients. Achieve reliability and credibility in regard to meeting deadlines. Be punctual.
-Maximize billable time commensurate with responsibilities.
-Always keep commitments, particularly time and cost commitments. Acceptance of personal responsibilities.
-Ensure that project / team delivery program and profit objectives are met. Assist with reporting, billing and monitoring of variations in a timely manner.
-Coordinate the work of the project team with other engineering disciplines through liaison with other professionals. Monitor the work of staff allocated to specific group projects to ensure that technical competence and performance meet the requirements of allocated projects. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and on budget.
