Lead the planning, coordination and implementation of Quality Surveillance (QS) inspections of Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP), Prime Contractor (PC), sub-contractors and suppliers activities to ensure operations is of the highest standards of safety and quality in the nuclear industry, and compliance with Safety and Quality objectives and regulations as applied in the UAE.


Quality Surveillance (QS)


Lead the implementation and enhancement of an effective, efficient system to administer the surveillance, inspection and assessment of BNPP operation, Prime Contractor, subcontractor, and craft resource operational and maintenance activities as well as the conduct of Supplier fabrication oversight inspection.
Lead the implementation of intrusive quality surveillance and oversight inspections, including work order package reviews, to identify potential improvements and issues of noncompliance.
Maintain a well-balanced mix of QS surveillance areas including BNPP operation, maintenance, engineering, work management and support organizations, Prime Contractor, subcontractors, and supplier fabrication oversight to ensure compliance with approved, applicable QA Program requirements across a broad range of functional areas.
Lead quality assessments, including quality-product reports in topics of identified trending for presentation to applicable stakeholders, to ensure performance improvement.
Validate QS issues and ensure recording them in the Corrective Action (CR) system to conduct follow-up of corrective actions.


Process Improvement


Review the QA Manual and QS implementing procedures, and lead periodic reviews to ensure compliance with industry codes and standards, regulatory commitments, and industry best practice.
Analyze findings, issues and nonconformance identified during surveillance activities to determine issue significance and program Quality performance trends.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of required regulations, industry codes and standards to serve as a subject matter expert.
Provide support of the various functions for the implementation of QS requirements.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


Prepare/recommend the development of the Section budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget to ensure alignment.


Operational Planning


Provide input into the development of the Department's systems and processes, as well develop and implement the Section's procedures, identifying opportunities for the continuous improvement of practices to increase productivity and operational efficiency.
Monitor, control and report Operational and financial Key Performance Indicators (KPl’s) related to the Section, to track performance and recommend corrective or mitigating actions.
Ensure that all relative reports are prepared timely and accurately, to meet the Section's requirements and standards.


Health and Safety and Security


Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the Division/Department & Section by the delivery of the Health and Safety Management Program to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality services and a responsible environmental attitude.
Follow all relevant Security policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure security compliance in all aspects of work, by applying them on self, others and Corporate assets.
Ensure compliance with corporate requirements for adherence to policies, procedures and instructions related to Crisis Management and Business Continuity in order to continue mission critical activities.


People Management


Manage the effective achievement of the Organization's objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, and providing formal and informal constructive feedback and appraisal - in order to maximize subordinate and department performance.
Contribute to the development of UAE National employees in a manner which supports the objectives of the corporation and its Emiratization strategy.
Contribute to knowledge dissemination/sharing in a way that assists with building internal capabilities of UAE Nationals where applicable and maximize their effective performance.
