Role Summary: 


Reporting into the HR Director, the Payroll Specialist will be based in our Dubai Head Office and will have regional responsibility for the South African business unit.


The Payroll Specialist will work collaboratively with the Global HR and Finance Department to position will support a broad range of payroll and HR services.


This exciting role also requires the role holder to be actively involved in the ongoing implementation of our SAP Success Factors project hence why hands-on knowledge in this area is a must.


This is a “hands on” position that requires interaction with all levels of the organisation.


 


 


Key Accountabilities:


Process payroll variables


  • Execute payroll and data matters related to separation of employees 

  • Monitor the employees’ monthly attendance data

  • Perform salary changes (variable and fixed) for employees

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records

  • Identify and resolve payroll anomalies
     

Perform posting and reporting of payroll transactions


  • Maintain supporting payroll documentation and authorisations for audit

  • Prepare month-end closing and payroll reconciliation

  • Assist in payroll accounting, transactions, reporting and other operations

  • Prepare ad-hoc financial and operational reports as needed

  • Reconcile general ledger payroll transactions liaising with finance team

 


Issue employment contracts and creation of employee profile


  • Issue employment contracts control number based on recruitment team request

  • Create employee profile in system and maintain data for payroll processing

 


Handle documentation and filing


  • Support the Payroll Manager in preparing documentation

  • Handle the filing of all payroll documents e.g. pay slips on a monthly and weekly basis

  • Provide inputs for issuing official certificates addressed as requested by employees

  • Liaise with HR regarding the monthly HR reports

 


Reports and Compliance for the Group


  • Support Employee Services Manager in internal and external audit requirements

  • Support Employee Services Manager in budget preparation

  • Perform corrective actions on all audit findings
