Under the general supervision of the Retail Training Manager, the job holder contributes to the Company's Training Program by conducting On-the-Job / Field Training, follow-up, refresher and evaluation for all Forecourt, C-Store, Zoom Market, Zoom Metro, Car Wash, Quick Oil Change, Pronto Retail Site Staff through explanation and demonstration of standard operating procedures and respective staff responsibilities.
Training Needs Analysis
Analyzes site training and retraining needs by:
Monitoring and reviewing performance standards at retail site level with focus on C-Store, Zoom Market, Zoom Metro, Forecourt, Carwash, Quick Oil Change and Pronto Operations with the Retail Trainer and Retail Training Manager
Conducting needs analysis survey at the site to determine training requirements for retail site staff with core focus on C-Store, Zoom Market, Zoom Metro, Forecourt, Carwash, Quick Oil Change, Pronto Staff, Shift In-Charge, Site In-Charge.
Development of Training Materials
Train and retrain Retail Staff by developing training course materials in coordination with the Retail Trainer/s in relation to the needs identified in Training Need Analysis
Design, Develop and Update written training materials, modules, lesson plans including Trainee hand outs as per the requirement of the field training content’s changes / updates and subject matter for C-Store, Zoom Market, Zoom Metro, Forecourt, Carwash, Quick Oil Change, Pronto Operations.
Development of Field Demo Exercises to better communicate the delivery of the subject matter of the training courses.
Develop Customer Service Flow guidelines for all new and existing site employees based on company standards.
Develop guidelines on handling customer complaints and handling inconvenienced customers.
Develop customized spiels for cross-selling and upselling of products.
Design and develop Test Materials and Questionnaires to determine the level of understanding and knowledge gained by staff when required by Retail Training Manager.
Design and develop forms and guidelines used in evaluating retail site staff performance in coordination with Retail Trainer/s.
Develop Retail Site Training Folders for retail site use for Field Training references.
Develop product training materials to enhance site staff knowledge.
Executes field training programs to develop employee skills and impart company standards and policies to new and existing Forecourt, C-Store, Zoom Markets, Zoom Metro, Pronto and APC (Carwash / QOC) employees.
Conducts field demonstration and exercises to better communicate the delivery of the subject matter of the training with the recommendation of the Site-In-Charge.
Conducts extensive site visits and delivers On-site Training on service, operational, and automation procedures and standards so as to ensure highest levels of compliance to the operational and service standards set by the company.
Delivery of specific field training modules on Customer Service for all new and existing staff on the importance of Customer Service and guidelines on handling customer complaints and handling inconvenienced customers.
Delivery of Development Programs for Supervisors in coordination with Retail Trainer/s.
Conduct other retail site related courses as the need arises.
4. Training Evaluation
Contributes to the evaluation and enhancement of site training by monitoring the standards attained by staff after training through checking the performance, providing feedback reports, assessing training styles against these standards, and adopting efforts to modify training approach to improve trainee performance.
Conducts Research and Evaluation to incorporate new courses and methods of training as they become available
Design and deliver special projects and activities that will contribute to the development of retail network.
Submission of Daily Site Report on coaching administered.
Submission of Progress Report monthly.
Compiles evaluation and feedback reports of trained staff to determine the effectiveness of training conducted
Good Communication and motivational skills to convey practical and hands-on concepts.
Strong command of the English Language.
Degree in College with at least two years’ experience in Field Training.
Computer Skills in preparing presentation, and ability to maintain training records.
Knowledge of the retail work practice and administrative procedures and ability to influence staff.
Capable of spending most of the work time in the field.
